Cornelis Verhagen

The brand name takes us back to the watchmakers school Cornelis Verhagen, which was located in Hoorn, the Netherlands from 1966 until 1993. School director Jac. Winnubst named his school after the Dutch watch maker Cornelis Verhagen (1876-1958). Cornelis Verhagen was at that time a very important person for the Dutch watchmakers.

–The intention was to create a new complication and, at the same time, to create a personal watch. —

Clocks and watches have evolved dramatically over the years. I would like to add my system to this. My complication makes the image at the hour hand to stay upright always, an ideal feature for a symbol watch. The man in the hour hand and the stars and planets on the dial symbolize mankind in the immense universe.

Three different case designs are available, with or without complication. The ETA 2824-2 movement has been sunburst sanded and rhodium plated. The screws in the movement are blued and the rotor has been adjusted to the design of the watch. The dial has been sunburst sanded, silver plated and the Roman indexes have been applied.

Of course, the decoration of the movement, the creation of the dial, hands, rotor and complication are all performed by the founding father of the design, Bob Voerman, in his own atelier.

My websitet is under construction.
